See through a connection lens!
At an early age, I fell in love with photography. I was the only one in my family who could get everyone in the picture without cutting off their heads and limbs. It was my stepfather who recognized my attentiveness and bought me my first professional film camera, a NikonF-1. I learned how to capture 4x5 film images at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. I taught film developing at the City of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation Photo Center.
In the early 1980’s, I went on to become the official photographer for The William Grant Still Art Center and Black Radio Magazine, photographing personalities such as Stephanie Mills, Ray Parker Jr. and Denise Williams.
In 1986, after serving in the US Army as Battalion Newspaper Photographer, I traveled back to Frankfurt, Germany to live and managed the Kodak Photo Lab & Studio.
In 2006, while on a spiritual and medical mission in Ghana West Africa, I photographed life there. Upon my return to California, I founded IONGOD PHOTOGRAPHY.
I once read, “GOD writes His signature on each sunset and on each of His unique children as well.” I photograph God’s beautiful signature and create photographic art directed at the eyes and heart.
90% of IONGODPHOTOGRAPHY profits will go to my photographed subjects.
Through my prints and photo books, I invite you to bring bits of life stories into your life and home. New prints are released regularly, so check back often.
